About Us

People Incorporated helps economically disadvantaged people improve their lives, families and communities.

People Incorporated has been in the business of changing lives for over 60 years. Founded in 1964, we offer over 30 services and programs tailored to the communities we serve. Last year, we assisted over 9,200 people in building futures and realizing their dreams through our numerous housing, financial, and community services.

We work with partners to:

• House individuals and families experiencing homelessness and provide supportive services that promote long-term stability.
• Develop and preserve high-quality, affordable housing while offering supportive services to low-income families.
• Strengthen the workforce through employment and training programs that help individuals gain skills, secure jobs, and advance their careers.

• Support children and families through programs that promote healthy development, family stability, and access to essential resources, and

• Invest in local economies by providing small business loans and support to entrepreneurs and business owners.
  Promote financial freedom through affordable, low-interest personal loan programs.

This year's donation through Give Local New River Valley will help homeless individuals, low-income families, and individuals returning from incarceration achieve financial stability, access benefits, find employment, and overcome other barriers to self-sufficiency throughout the New River Valley region of Virginia.
