After two years at Springhouse, I have had numerous experiences and revelations about the way I live and how we can strive to contribute to a world where all life thrives. This year, I was in a class on sustainability where we learned about the waste system and the economy. Sustainability class helped me reflect on our consumer economy and my role within that system, as well as how I can change and improve it. Being one of our elected Student Leaders has brought me into new leadership positions and has taught me what it means to be a good leader and how to handle difficult situations with integrity. Participating in Springhouse’s community and traditions has helped me grow in the areas of resilience, integrity, and connection. I have also learned how to respond rather than react to the world around me, and participate in conversations with maturity and reason. Even with so much more to learn, I can say that I have learned just how important it is to support every part of a community for the whole to thrive. Thank you.
This June, Springhouse is raising $120,000 to sustain the staff, the land, and the practices that keep this community alive, and to support what's next, including working with land and creativity to grow food and make art, attuning to the seasons year round.
You are not just supporting an organization. You are tending a spring, one that nourishes our local community and ripples out, inspiring people and places beyond.
Every gift helps keep the spring flowing. Give Today!
