Soul & Celeste are Tending the Spring

Hi, my name is Soul Jones, and Springhouse has been a wild ride. There's been highs and lows here, but it's been fun. I’m excited to move forward and live by the values Springhouse has taught me. It's because of Springhouse I've become calmer overall. I owe it to them. At first, Springhouse was such a different idea from my past schools that I didn't get used to it for a while, but once I did, I saw how caring the community is to each other, and all these fun field trips we got to go to every Thursday! You can take it from pretty much everyone at Springhouse that it's either been a learning experience or just a nice place to make memories, but that's just my side of the story. -soul

Below is my sister's story.

Greetings, my name is Celeste Jones. I'm sixteen years old and when I was younger my mother taught me the only way to answer a question was yes. Anything else was disrespectful and disregarded. That led to me having many people take advantage of me. Until I went through multiple high-schools and finally joined Springhouse. Seeing my peers stand up for themselves and talking to them about advocating for myself inspired me to stand up for myself and improve my life overall. I'm very grateful to Springhouse for helping me meet all of these great people.

This June, Springhouse is raising $120,000 to sustain the staff, the land, and the practices that keep this community alive, and to support what's next, including working with land and creativity to grow food and make art, attuning to the seasons year round.
