Your generosity makes it possible for us to say yes—again and again, to the moments that matter most. To sustain and strengthen food distribution in Radford, the YMCA is partnering with Beans and Rice by providing management services.

The Beans and Rice Market in Radford provides essential grocery support to families experiencing food insecurity. Through this program, individuals can access fresh produce, shelf-stable staples, dairy, and meat at no cost in a welcoming, dignified environment. Powered by dedicated volunteers and community donations, the market is more than a food resource—it is a place where neighbors are treated with respect and compassion.

NEW THIS YEAR - a dedicated group of Radford University students wanted to provide additional food access to students in need. In response to this, we collaborated with the students to launch an additional distribution site—making nutritious food more convenient and accessible for RU students and the surrounding community.
