In 2026, The June Bug Center turns 25 years old, and we’re celebrating this milestone the best way we know how — with a community-wide fundraising campaign that honors our past, strengthens our present, and builds an even brighter future for the next generation of artists, performers, thinkers, and dreamers.
Introducing our year-long celebration: #25Kfor25Years
Our goal is simple and powerful: Raise $25,000 by the end of our 2026 GiveLocal campaign this June. These funds will help us expand programming, upgrade equipment and performance spaces, keep classes affordable, and ensure every child in Floyd County and the NRV continues to have access to the arts and STEAM education.
🌟 What to Expect Throughout the Spring & Early Summer
Our campaign officially launches with the Spring Teen Musical, kicking off a season of creativity, connection, and community support. Leading up to GiveLocal in June, you’ll see:
🎭 Performances & Showcases : Each class performance becomes part of the momentum—inspiring donations and celebrating the talent that makes JBC special.
🤖 STEAM spotlights: Behind-the-scenes looks at LEGO Club, Robotics, Junior Engineers, Kids Who Code, and our exciting new Spring program reveal.
🎶 Music moments: Student performances, faculty features, and stories of how music changes lives.
💃 Dance features: Our Tiny Dancers and upper-level classes will share their joy, growth, and passion.
🎉 Community events: Pop-up fundraising activities, alumni highlights, and special 25-year throwbacks.
🧡 The Teams Are Back!
Just like our Giving Tuesday pilot, we’ll have five friendly fundraising teams competing for bragging rights:
Stage Stormers (Theatre)
Tiny Dancers (Dance)
Music Makers (Music)
STEAM Dream Team (STEAM Education)
Board Brigade (Board of Directors)
Each team’s goal: $5,000, contributing to our grand total of $25,000.
