Our Mission: The June Bug Center for Arts and Education (JBC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing music, performing arts, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) through ongoing, affordable afterschool programs, classes, private lessons, and community theatre productions to the New River Valley community. Our programs are shaping the future leaders of our community, sparking interest in their future endeavors, and encouraging early career development and enthusiasm. Our sliding-scale tuition and scholarships ensure that no child is turned away due to finances. We are proud to offer 13 different classes throughout the school year for students ages 7 to 18. Our summer camps are a huge hit: our 2023 summer had 16 summer camps to choose from with 121 students, 65 of whom chose to take multiple camps! This Fall 2023, we have 127 students each week throughout 11 different programs, offering each student a snack before their 2 hours with us. We are very proud of our talented students and we realize that none of their growth and experiences would be possible without the care and support of people like you. Your donation will help The June Bug Center continue to serve our students with after school programming, snacks, field trips, events, and more. With your support, you are helping the JBC maintain that no child is turned away from life-changing experiences, memories, learning opportunities, and so much more.
Ways you can help:
1. Donate! You can donate at any time, we have options on our website and we have office hours so you can donate in person. Our P.O Box is also available if you prefer to mail a donation.
2. Visit us, check out our facility, see a performance, or join one of our events! All donations go toward our mission and keeping our facility safe and welcoming for everyone.
3. Purchase a Gift Card! We have gift cards you can purchase online that can go towards any JBC program, event, or even our merchandise!
4. We are offering our first adult "After Work Program"! Check out our website here to see how to get involved.
5. Register for our after school programs here! We offer classes for ages 7 through 18.
