Blacksburg Refugee Partnership provides help and hope for refugees rebuilding their lives in southwest Virginia.

Blacksburg Refugee Partnership (BRP) is an organization run entirely by community volunteers who, like you, believe all humans have the right to a safe, peaceful, happy home. We connect newly-arrived displaced families to the resources and ongoing support they need to successfully plant roots here in America. To date, BRP has welcomed 18 families, including 28 adults and 46 children, from Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, Burundi, Myanmar, and Libya.  Our ultimate goal is to see our families achieve independence and learn to meet their own needs.

It costs about $2,500 a month to support a refugee family until they can support themselves. Your donation can help us reach $10,000, enough to help a new family in their first four months in Blacksburg.

Donations enble new families to secure basic needs such as rent, groceries, household necessities, and transportation, allowing these newcomers time to adjust to a new life while they find work. This support, over time, ensures that the families become employed, self-reliant and productive members of our community.  Each family works with a finance mentor to guide them in the bill pay process.

Please consider helping with a one-time or regular donation.
