Support the Blacksburg Community Band!

Now celebrating our 38th season!

From a small group of dedicated founding members in 1989, the Band has now grown to over 100 performing musicians. We have musicians from high-school age into their 80s! And supporters just like you to allow us to properly equip the band with instruments, music and supplies!

The operating expenses for running a band with over 100 musicians is significant -- the purchase of music, rehearsal and performance facility rental, advertising, printing costs for flyers and programs, storage unit fees, maintenance of band-owned instruments and insurance are just some of our operating expenses.  

With your support we have been able to cover these expenses and still provide free public concerts either on our own or in conjunction with other organizations, events and festivals.  Some of these have included the Mt. Tabor Ruritan Summer Fish Fry, the Blacksburg Summer Arts Festival, the Town of Blacksburg July 4th Celebration, and concerts at Warm Hearth Village, Historic Smithfield and others in addition to 3 or 4 of our own seasonal concerts at Blacksburg High School.

The Blacksburg Community Band is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer community organization. There are no dues or fees to participate, and concerts are free and open to the public.
