Bland Ministry Center exists to put God's love into action and improve the quality of life of our neighbors by partnering with volunteers and our community to serve people in need through the delivery of dental health care, food security, and other compassionate services.  Our staff and volunteers operate a dental clinic in Wythe County as well as within local public schools!

What Makes You Smile?

That’s a simple enough question that we’ve been asking our neighbors, patients, and friends recently.  It can be family, faith, nature, sweet memories, music, or moments of peace.  Things that bring joy, comfort, connection, and confidence to our lives.  

But for many of our neighbors, smiling doesn’t always come easily.

Dental pain, untreated oral health issues, and lack of access to care can affect far more than teeth, impacting confidence, relationships, employment, nutrition, and overall well-being.  Some neighbors hide their smiles because they’re hurting.  Others have gone years without access to affordable dental care to the detriment of their wellbeing.  

That’s why Bland Ministry Center dental programs exist: to provide compassionate dental care for uninsured and underserved neighbors throughout our community.  

As we celebrate Oral Health Month this June and partner with the Virginia Dental Association Foundation Mission of Mercy event in Wytheville this June 26-27, we encourage you to remember:
