Brock Hughes Free Clinic, Inc.

Since 1995, the clinic has grown exponentially and seen many changes-especially during the last 10 years! Partners such as the Wythe-Bland Foundation (WBF), Virginia Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, Virginia Health Care Foundation, RX Partnership as well as many local private donors, churches, and other organizations have made it possible for BHMC to continue providing medical, pharmaceutical, and preventive health care services to a vulnerable population. We began as a “Free Clinic”, housed at the health department and staffed by all volunteers who donated their time after-hours. Today, we employ full and part-time staff, own our building (thanks to the WBF), and are considered a hybrid/expanded clinic. What Does THAT Mean?  We see patients of all ages who are without health insurance, have Medicaid, Medicare or commercial insurance! No longer known as the “Free Clinic”, BHMC will continue to grow and expand services for those citizens of Wythe and Bland Counties who depend upon BHMC for their healthcare needs.
