We are excited to participate in GiveLocalNRV 2025!

We're raising funds for our HSMC Cat Spay Neuter Mobile Clinic, opening mid-July. The clinic will offer low cost spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and flea treatments for all cats, including ferals. 

Donations will go towards medical supplies and a fund for cats in need.

 Your generosity will help the HSMC provide low cost spay neuter to cats in our community.

The HSMC is a private nonprofit organization. We do not receive any local, state, or federal funding. We operate solely from donations.

Mission

The Humane Society of Montgomery County is a private cat shelter.  Established in 1971, we are and always have been, a no kill facility.  Adoptable cats/kittens stay at the shelter until they are adopted, no matter how long that takes.  

Programs

• We operate a low cost spay/neuter program.
• The HSMC provides pet food to those in need through our pet food pantry. 
• Volunteers are always welcomed at the shelter to keep our guests comfortable until their new homes are found.
