Live Work Eat Grow

Live, Work, Eat, Grow's mission is to cultivate vibrant communities in the New River Valley. 

We operate the shared-use Millstone Kitchen, designed to launch small food businesses and support a diversity of entrepreneurs. We also manage a robust community garden program with three locations in the Town of Blacksburg, and a new garden launching at Heritage Park in 2025.   

This year we set a goal to raise $7,500 to make critical structural repairs to the Roper Solar Greenhouse. The greenhouse supports year round growing at the Hale Community Garden. To learn more about how you can support this campaign click on the link below.

• Serving fresh meals to low income families and seniors across the NRV
• Engaging kids and adults in hands-on learning activities
