The mission of the Millwald Theatre is to be a cultural hub that provides exceptional and accessible arts experiences including entertainment, education, and civic dialogue while promoting economic growth in our community.

Millwald Curtain Call for All

At the Millwald Theatre, we believe live performance should be for everyone. Curtain Call for All is our ticket scholarship program, providing grants to individuals, families, and community organizations so that the cost of a ticket is never the reason someone misses out.

Grants can cover tickets and transportation. Whether it's a child's first show or a senior group's night out, your gift helps make sure more of our community has a seat in the house.

Help us give everyone a seat at the Millwald.

The theatre presents nationally and regionally known artists with music, comedy, theatre, and more. The Millwald Theatre also presents free educational events to students to ensure that every child has access to the arts. In 2025, over 6,000 students received a free educational experience at the theatre such as when a Grammy award winning singer taught students how to sing This Land Is Your Land in Spanish or when members of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra taught students about the Science of Sound. 

Throughout the year, the theatre gives tickets to students, veterans, and first responders as a way of giving back to their community.
