Mountain Valor is a veteran-led 501(c)(3) empowering veterans and their families across seven counties in rural Virginia — Floyd, Montgomery, Pulaski, Franklin, Carroll, Patrick, and Wythe. We are non-membership based, independent of government, and staffed entirely by veterans and family members of veterans — people who understand this community because they are this community.
We believe no veteran should have to fight alone for the benefits, services, and support they've earned. Since our founding in 2024, we have reached more than 3,000 veterans and served 1,200+ in person — delivering benefits education, senior outreach, transportation assistance, and connection to critical resources right where our veterans live.
From one-on-one navigation to large-scale events like Mountain Valor Fest, we meet veterans where they are. Our work closes the gap between rural isolation and the support veterans have earned.
Service didn't end when we hung up the uniform. Now, we serve each other.
