Ride-A-Rescue isn't your normal horse rescue! How's that you ask? Not only do we take in, care for, and rehabilitate abused, neglected, and surrendered horses; we put a major focus on rehabilitating our rescue horses to be solid productive citizens of the community. Our rehabilitated horses are not only available for adoption, they are participants in activities open to the public to help our community get outdoors! 

Once one of our rescues have been rehabilitated and are physically and mentally recovered, they will provide trail rides to the public to help raise awareness of the need for horse rescues and learn the healing power of being around horses! Ride-A-Rescue trail rides are undoubtedly the most sought after service we offer, as it allows patrons the opportunity to ride one of our rescue horses. In addition to our signature trail rides at the farm, we often trailer our horses to special events around the New River Valley to host trail rides and spread the word about our rescue. 100% of the proceeds from the trail rides, lessons, leasing, and birthday parties go toward caring for the horses.  

Care for our horses includes feed, supplementation, shelter, training, farrier services, medical care, adoption services, and providing a sense of purpose and jobs for the horses. We are a 501(3)c non-profit organization, operating solely on volunteers, donations, and the proceeds from the services we provide to our community.
