YMCA of Pulaski County

The YMCA of Pulaski County has been serving the community for nearly 75 years!  Over the years, just like Pulaski, we've seen highs and lows, victories and losses, success and defeat.  The YMCA is a community asset. 

 The YMCA is also a place for wellness, with an updated cardio room and three unique spaces for aerobics, yoga, and spin. In partnership with Pulaski County Public Schools, we provide swimming lessons for all of the county’s second graders and a place for the Cougar swim team to practice. 

We provide childcare in addition to wellness and fitness group classes and in-school after school care through our Y-Excel program. 

The YMCA of Pulaski County is a place where the community gathers. Seniors, youth, families, and individuals all take advantage of our programs and facilities, which is why we want to be here for at least another 75 years.

But we need help to do that because membership fees alone do not cover all the costs of operation and facility maintenance.   We need to raise $100,000 this year through a combination of grants, monthly pledges, and large gifts. Providing quality programming for the community is our purpose, but we also need to pay our monthly bills.

Our goal this June is to raise $8,000. With $8,000 we can:

• Purchase supplies for our childcare, such as mattresses, cots, books, and art supplies..
• Provide funding to our “Bridging the Gap” program that allows those who cannot otherwise become Y members to share the great programs and facilities that are such a blessing to hundreds of community members.
• Provide six months of chemicals and supplies for our pool for the coming year. Our pool, the only indoor pool in Pulaski County, is used by citizens of all ages.

 Our goal remains to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy mind, body, and spirit for all.  Meeting our fundraising goals, allows us to do just that, ensuring we have financial assistance that will bridge the gap for anyone interested in becoming part of our YMCA family.
