Rules, Grants, & Prizes


Each year, the CFNRV works with sponsors to offer incentive grants and prizes for organizations that sign up to participate in the giving day. Awards range from $500 to $1,500. The 2025 grant and prize list will be shared in April, but we have shared general details about the awards below. Check out the information below along with the rules for the event.

The Community Foundation of the New River Valley (CFNRV) can modify any rules, restrictions, or conditions if, in the sole judgment of the Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community. As such, the CFNRV reserves the right to deny or condition the distribution of prize grants if, in the judgment of its Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes necessary. This year, we are offering a variety of grants and prizes, with each award ranging from $500 to $1,500. More details about this year's awards will be announced in April!

Please note that which donations count for the grants and prizes varies. Some allow "All donations", meaning that online donations made through givelocalnrv.org and offline donations (checks, cash, or wire transfers.) Others are  "Online Donations Only", meaning that only online donations made through givelocalnrv.org count.
