Grace’s Page for the Montgomery Museum of Art & History

Hi everyone! Since I've started working at the Montgomery Museum last June, I've been able to learn so much and develop my curatorial and communications skills. I've truly been able to fulfill the mission that I set for myself to create exhibitions that enhance acknowledgement of local art history and material culture, as well as increase public awareness and engagement of the services the museum uses to give back. I’m helping support the Montgomery Museum of Art & History during GiveLocalNRV 2025, and I’d love for you to join me.

One of the most constant issues museums and non-profits experience is based from funding - it's a hot topic in any museum studies class! This year is especially problematic, since so much government funding has been cut - meaning we won't be able to access the same types of grant and support programs that have been instrumental in the museum's past years of development. In response to these funding cuts, I'm calling upon my friends, family, and neighbors to help show much needed support for this fantastic institution. While issues may continue at a national and federal level, let's show that our community can prevail and provide our own support.

Every donation helps protect the collection, grow community programs, and support the amazing work the museum does. This museum means so much to me - let's help out the museum and support all that they do for the community, the collection, and the cultural heritage of Appalachia.
