Home is the Key

Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley (NRV) (April 08, 2025) – For many people across the U.S., access to an affordable home remains out of reach. In the New River Valley, approximately 26% of residents are burdened by housing costs, spending more than 30% of their income on housing expenses.

Habitat for Humanity of the NRV knows that a safe and affordable home has the power to transform the lives of families and is the cornerstone to strong communities. This month, Habitat for Humanity of the NRV is joining Home is the Key, Habitat for Humanity’s national awareness and fundraising campaign, to spotlight the critical need for equitable access to affordable housing in the New River Valley and across the U.S.
