The Blacksburg Farmers Market Emergency Fund, established in 2025, supports our vendor farmers who have been adversely affected by natural and unnatural disasters, such as:
- Crop failure
- Extreme weather
- Flooding
- Fire
- Barn collapse
- Personal tragedy
Eligibility
- Must be a farm vendor at the Blacksburg Farmers Market in good standing for at least the last 2 years
- Need is due to forces beyond the Farm's control: (a) flood, (b) fire, (c) storms, (d) unavoidable disease, (e) accident or health of producer or direct family
