The waters in the New River watershed are mixed with the tears of me and mine – triumphs and defeats. We are a part of each other. I suspect it is the same for many, if not all, of you reading this. The waters were, and are, always there for us.
I am joining the New River Expedition, a paddling adventure and peer-to-peer fundraising event that gives paddlers a way to protect the New River watershed while having an adventure on the New. I am going to try 50 miles on the New River for the 50th Birthday of NRC, and hope you do too! Each paddler that completes 50 miles receives a special edition paddle medallion.
