The Lyric Theatre has been a gathering place for the Blacksburg community since 1909 and the Lyric Council plans to serve the community for many years to come. Earlier this year, the Lyric renewed a generous 30-year rent-free lease with Lester Properties, secured green room space in an adjacent building, and post-pandemic audiences have returned to the theatre. These developments help pave the way for a new era of award-winning movies, great live music, and engaging community events.

But there's still work to be done!

In the coming year, we will be showing more first-run movies, along with classics, and expanding our stage and community events.
