Healthy Streams, Strong Communities

Healthy streams are essential to healthy communities. Tract Fork, a tributary of Peak Creek that flows alongside Pulaski's Calfee Community and Cultural Center, has experienced years of streambank erosion that have degraded habitat, contributed sediment pollution, and threatened the stability of the surrounding landscape.

 Friends of Peak Creek is launching this campaign to restore and stabilize the stream corridor, improving water quality and strengthening the health of the entire watershed. With your support, this project will help reduce erosion, enhance wildlife habitat, and protect a valuable natural resource that ultimately connects to the New River.

The restoration area is located adjacent to the Calfee Community and Cultural Center, where ongoing investments in trails and greenspace are creating new opportunities for outdoor education, recreation, and community engagement. By restoring the stream, we can support both a healthier watershed and a community asset that will connect more people to the natural environment.
