NRV Pickleballers, in existence since 2019, play all over the New River Valley. 377 players hail from Radford, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Pulaski, Dublin, Floyd, Giles, and Wytheville. Mickey Hickman (aka the Mighty One) serves as the unofficial leader of this group. Since he is also the President of the Calfee Center Board of Directors, he has challenged the NRV Pickleballers to raise funds for Calfee during Give Local NRV 2025.
