We are back in action!

We have expanded our program activities and have welcomed new clients! The Covid outbreak shut down our agency due to the vulnerability of our client population and greatly reduced our fundraising. 

Since 1965 the Intellectual Disabilities Agency of the New River Valley (IDA)  has provided a variety of programs for persons with cognitive impairment as well as respite for their families. IDA provides social, recreational, and educational activities. The goal is to promote inclusion and participation in their community. IDA advocates for people with ID and informs the public regarding their needs. 

IDA is one of the few local agencies offering opportunities for many in this population to interact with others, especially as access to the community is limited after school age is exceeded.  Please consider becoming a supporter of our agency.
