New River Robotics Association

We are a community-based team of Christiansburg/Blacksburg students and parents. We are excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and we want to inspire this excitement in others through educational outreach with robotics activities. We compete in robotics challenges, host engineering-related activities, and teach STEM throughout the community of the New River Valley, Virginia. We promote STEM through grades K-12, with particular emphasis on middle-school and early high-school youth. Through our all-volunteer non-profit, we have helped start more than 17 new teams in our area, and provided sustainment funding to many more.  We organize and execute 4 levels of competitions, spanning grades K-12 through the global non-profit FIRST: For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.
