Ben is Tending the Spring

Hello, visitors of my Give Local page! My name is Benjamin Tiebout, and this is what I have to say to you about Springhouse this year: Springhouse is a very vibrant place. It is full of kind, unique, and awesome individuals. There is a bold contrast between Springhouse and other schools; The Springhouse staff are extremely committed people, and this organization has been working hard with the goal of positive change in the world for a long time. 12 Years in fact. Springhouse focuses on helping the whole person develop. Students get to grow socially and emotionally, with less focus on preparing students to pass academic tests, and things of that nature. I am grateful that I get to go through my high school years in a place like this, where I enjoy myself, have good company, and grow. 

This June, Springhouse is raising $120,000 to sustain the staff, the land, and the practices that keep this community alive, and to support what's next, including working with land and creativity to grow food and make art, attuning to the seasons year round.

You are not just supporting an organization. You are tending a spring, one that nourishes our local community and ripples out, inspiring people and places beyond.
