YMCA at VT 150th Anniversary Fundraiser

INVEST IN THE NEXT 150 YEARS. 

My time spent volunteering at The YMCA at Virginia Tech was a very formative and rewarding experience. It was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic which caused some difficulties planning the annual Healthy Kids Day slate of activities. This volunteer opportunity and the support group at The Y taught me not only how to overcome adversity through such a difficult time in the community but also going above and beyond on every outreach project for that same community.

While the Healthy Kids Day event did not go as originally planned due to the pandemic, we were still able to create an entire slate of videos used to promote healthy habits such as eating right and creating fun ways to stay active.
