Why I Support the Y

When you think of the YMCA, you often think of a place of community, fellowship, and safe harbor. Our YMCA at Virginia Tech wants everyone to feel welcomed as a vibrant voice that enriches our community. 

Our dedicated welcoming center located at the Y Center is a symbol of our dedication to inclusiveness:

• English literacy classes, enrichment and meals for children and families engaged in the classes, 
• Active international women's group, which has been a lifeline to so many newcomes in our area. 
• Annual welcoming week each fall dedicated to highlighting community events and shared spaces that bring neighbors together.
