Ryea’s Fundraiser for the Women’s Resource Center

My name is Ryea, and I am a Children’s Counselor with the Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley.

The Women’s Resource Center of the NRV provides free emergency shelter, supportive counseling, legal advocacy, prevention education, and emergency advocacy services for children and adult survivors of domestic and sexual violence, regardless of sexual identity or gender. We also operate a 24/7 trauma-informed hotline to ensure survivors always have somewhere safe to turn.

Like many nonprofits, recent funding cuts have placed our services at critical risk.

We are only able to provide these life-saving, free services because of donations and community support. Your contribution helps ensure that survivors and their children continue to have access to safety, advocacy, and hope—any time, day or night.
