Kit's Springhouse Fundraiser

MY SPRINGHOUSE STORY

Hey, I’m kit! This is how Springhouse has helped me quite a lot! I used to have an extremely hard time with anxiety to the point it would make me mentally and physically sick. I could barely even go to school for a full week while I was in public school. I just hated going in general, I’d do anything to not go, I’d make up any excuse such as faking being sick. My anxiety made my life really hard to deal with, to the point I didn’t even want it anymore. Soon enough my family introduced me to Springhouse by setting me up for a visiting day. After that day I fell in love with the school. I kept wanting to come back several times but never got the chance to, until I had an interview with the school. 

I was really nervous and almost didn’t even go just because of my anxiety holding me back. I went anyway, it was really nice, and it wasn’t as terrifying as I thought it would be. A few days later after the interview I got accepted into Springhouse! I started attending in September along with a bunch of other new students, I was really scared at first but then I warmed up super quickly. I made a bunch of friends and everyone was nice. I didn’t have to be scared about being judged or hated just for being myself. Springhouse over the school year has helped me a lot not only with my anxiety, but even with other things that I didn’t even know about, like depression, panic attacks, and even my raynauds syndrome which I’ve had since I was a child. Everyone at Springhouse is nice including the staff, they’re not just staff to us, but friends, close friends. 

Springhouse hasn’t only helped me, but a bunch of other people as well even if they aren’t a student or staff. They have welcomed plenty of visitors with open arms and gave them a warm welcome! The Springhouse Community and I would be absolutely thrilled if you helped us out with our fundraiser to keep Springhouse up and running and be able to continue to help a lot more people than they already have!
