Alexia is Tending the Spring

Springhouse offers a learning experience no other school could give me. At Springhouse we go on three trips a year and on these trips I’ve been able to experience new things like different cultures, sustainable ways of living, and connection with people who come from different backgrounds. Another opportunity I really enjoy is we get to choose the classes we want to be in and even are able to pick and lead a class we are interested in. I, am always excited to learn new things that my community is passionate about. Classes also have a wide variety of subjects and there’s always something for someone. That is just one of our many leadership opportunities we get and are highly encouraged to take. Springhouse staff also helps you prepare for life after school. Saying yes to many of these opportunities has helped me find new things out about myself.

This June, Springhouse is raising $120,000 to sustain the staff, the land, and the practices that keep this community alive, and to support what's next, including working with land and creativity to grow food and make art, attuning to the seasons year round.
