Kat/fogg's Springhouse Fundraiser

(Reader advisory for suicide/hospitalization!:))

Hi, my name is Kat/fog, and i use they/them/he/his/she/her pronouns (pretty much any pronouns) and I am one of the newest students at Springhouse.-I have only been here for the past 4 months at the time of writing this.- I’d like to tell you the difference between Springhouse and public school. I came from a public school that was K-7th grade and I dealt with a ton of bullying, discrimination, hate speech, etc. I grew up with few friends but a lot of abusers ranging from verbal to physical abuse, having to hide my true self for years, and not fully coming out of my shell to anyone up until about the first month of Springhouse. I left public school around December after my second hospital visit, going straight to Springhouse where I finally was in a safe space to express my beliefs and myself, finally finding people who accepted me for who I am.  

Springhouse is the only place in my life where I let go of my depression and can be my entire self. I consider it more of a home than a school, though I still learn a lot here and I feel what's taught here is much more important than what's taught in public schools. That's all, Bye bye!

Through our intergenerational school and community print shop, we are committed to creating a culture that takes care of life, one person and one community at a time. At large, the culture we live in does not care for vulnerability. Now more than ever, we need places to practice taking better care of vulnerability and living in ways that are in greater alignment with life. 

Springhouse is a place for anyone who wants to practice living in ways that take better care of life. Though their programs have fees, Springhouse is committed to accessibility – no one is turned away for financial reasons. 

This work will take generations. Your gift allows Springhouse to continue offering accessible and equitable programs for all.

Springhouse imagina un mundo donde toda la vida prospera. Ahora más que nunca, creo que necesitamos espacios donde practicar cómo cuidar mejor la vulnerabilidad y vivir de maneras más alineadas con la vida.

Springhouse es un lugar para cualquiera que desee practicar cómo vivir de maneras que cuiden mejor la vida. Aunque sus programas tienen costo, Springhouse está comprometido con la accesibilidad: nadie es rechazado por razones financieras.
