This is us. Our lil’ big family. I’m so grateful when we are all together (2 have left the nest)! We took this ridiculous selfie last night and it feels vulnerable to share it (I haven’t posted photos of myself or family in a while, plus half of us are in PJs!). I’m posting it because most of our kiddos (and us parents) have been deeply connected and inspired by Springhouse. Through my time working at Springhouse, I’ve discovered what my real work is: aligning with the source of Life.
I’m committed to Springhouse and our vision of a world where all life thrives. I’m aware that this work is lifelong and that it will take generations to fulfill this vision. At Springhouse, we’re laying a foundation, developing a scalable model to support people drawn to this vision and who are prepared to commit to long-term, life-centered cultural design. It's exciting, creative, and bold work!
Here’s the thing: we need financial resources to keep going. Right now, Springhouse is in the midst of a HUGE fundraiser to bring in $100,000 in order to meet the operational budget. Our family set a goal of raising $5,000 towards Springhouse's BIG overall goal.

Springhouse supports people who want to build a culture that takes care of the gift of life by practicing and sharing the principles of Sourced Design. The campus is located in a vibrant community of Floyd County, Virginia and accessible to all who want to learn a way to take care of Life – their own and that of their community and place.
The school at Springhouse provides a place where teens and adults can practice living in a way that takes care of Life in a place over time.
A note from Carolyn/Mom Reilly (45 years old): I am so grateful for Springhouse and how it continues to be a loving and safe community to grapple with the fullness of life and change. This does not mean a perfect place or an easy journey; it does mean a place where both brokenness and wholeness are honored and explored in order to more fully know the gift of Life.
I am entering my 5th year on staff and continue to deepen my commitment to both the unfolding of my own life as well as the development of this unique and radical school. In my time at Springhouse, I've discovered my real work: to align with life. I’m committed to Springhouse and our vision of a world where all life thrives. I’m aware that this work is lifelong and that it will take generations to fulfill this vision. At Springhouse, we’re laying a foundation, developing a scalable model to support people drawn to this vision and who are prepared to commit to long-term, life-centered cultural design.
I also have the great joy of being a Springhouse parent to teens and an alum! Please help support this nonprofit continue to offer a school for teens (and adults!), a place to learn how to take care of the precious gift of Life.
From Arlo (14 years old): Something I love about Springhouse is the community and how we are able to learn at our own pace, as well as how accepting we are to the queer community.
From Elliot (17 years old): I love that I can help create the classes I want to participate in. I also love the support I get from my peers and the staff.
We are in the midst of our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year from June 1st to June 29th. Help support us as we continue to actively work towards the vision of a world where all life thrives!
