GO PULASKI COUNTY: Volunteers Building Community, One Project at a Time

Hi!  My2021: cleaning up Sprouls Run and Edgehill Drive name is Terrie Sternberg, and I've been a proud volunteer for GO Pulaski County since its very beginnings in 2016.  I currently serve on the Core Leadership Team made up of group of dedicated volunteers who plan each year's event.  Recruiting and coordinating 150 or more volunteers with 18-20 projects is no small task, and each year we aim to serve more and more individuals, families, and organizations through caring and enthusiastic hands-on service.

What is GO PC exactly? It is a one-day, county-wide service event where, since its beginning in 2016, over 850 volunteers have worked on 70 project sites around Pulaski, Dublin, Fairlawn, Draper, Snowville, and Pulaski County at large.  We solicit and coordinate project planning with various local organizations as well as churches to identify those places where a group of 6-15 volunteers per location can accomplish some much needed maintenance, repairs, clean-up or landscaping on a Saturday in the fall.  Then we work with churches, schools, scouting groups, sports teams, and others to recruit volunteers.  Our crack Volunteer Coordinator matches the volunteers to the projects which is an art (and a big job) in and of itself!  2021: Robinson Tract Community CenterThis year's GO PC day is SEPTEMBER 24, 2022

Even though we are all volunteer-led, we have a yearly budget of around $2,500 needed to purchase a variety of supplies, food, and materials that we use for projects, volunteer recruitment, communications, and support.   Give Local NRV donors like you will help us tremendously to continue offering significant improvements to individuals, groups, organizations (such as libraries, community centers, and group homes) in Pulaski County.

By giving to Go Pulaski County, you are definitely being part of something bigger than yourself!  You are investing in the quality of life for thousands who call Pulaski County "home!"
