As a Blacksburg native, I have fond memories of the YMCA craft fair; as a child, it was a highlight of my year to be given some money and then to wander around Commonwealth Ballroom in Squires deciding how to spend it.
Although the craft fair has changed, as all things must, the YMCA is still a key part of our Blacksburg community, providing food, creative outlets, a sesnse of belonging, and a sustainable alternative to landfills for items we no longer need in our homes. Over the last couple of years, I've been glad to support the Y, both financially and with my time, and I hope you'll consider making a donation to support it and all it does for our local community.
The YMCA at Virginia Tech is changing lives in every corner of the New River Valley—whether you’ve lived here your whole life, came here to study, or moved around the globe to find your new home. Your support of its 150th Anniversary Campaign is vital to the future of our community. Please consider pledging today to ensure a strong, sustainable, and thriving YMCA at Virginia Tech for the New River Valley!
