Hi, I’m Kali Grace Broe!

Attending Springhouse Community School was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

At Springhouse, I feel seen, supported, and celebrated for who I truly am.

For the first time, I’m in an environment where learning feels exciting, where people care about me, and where I’m not just a number or a grade.

Before Springhouse, I spent three years in public school, where I struggled to keep up academically and emotionally. I was often bullied and misunderstood. Turning in assignments was difficult, and I felt like I was constantly falling behind. Eventually, I left — and for a while, I didn’t know if school would ever feel like a safe place again.

Then my dad found Springhouse — and everything changed.

Springhouse isn’t like any other school. Here, we are guided by six core values:

—Connection, Individuality, Creativity, Resiliency, Integrity, and Trust—which always foster relationship and learning, regardless of our circumstances.

At Springhouse, I learn by doing. I get to be outside, explore new ideas, and grow in a community that truly cares. The staff meet me where I’m at. They don’t just teach lessons — they nurture us as people.

Through our intergenerational school and community print shop, we are committed to creating a culture that takes care of life, one person and one community at a time. At large, the culture we live in does not care for vulnerability. Now more than ever, we need places to practice taking better care of vulnerability and living in ways that are in greater alignment with life. 

Springhouse is a place for anyone who wants to practice living in ways that take better care of life. Though their programs have fees, Springhouse is committed to accessibility – no one is turned away for financial reasons.
