GivingTuesday 2021

The June Bug Center for Arts and Education (JBC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing music, performing arts, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) through ongoing after-school programs, classes, and community theatre productions that are affordable to the New River Valley community.

Everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts. GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join the movement and give on November 30th GivingTuesday whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

It’s a simple idea:  whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

It’s more important than it ever has been to show up for our communities. Give to the organizations that you love most – no amount is too little and nonprofits need our support. Donate and share your experience on GivingTuesday and inspire others to give.

Thanks to the community's continued donations, we are able to provide affordable performing arts and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programs and opportunities.  Our programs are shaping the future leaders of our community.  

We have programs from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.  every weekday, including Floyd Junior Appalachian Musicians, LEGO & Robotics Club, Blue Ridge Strings, Computer Camp, Acting Out, Musical Theatre for teens, and Improv!  We are very proud of our talented students, and we realize that none of this would be possible without the care and support of people like you.

Your donation will help the June Bug Center serve up to 130 students a week with after school programming, snacks and more. With your support you are helping the JBC maintain that no child is turned away from our programs and enrichment opportunities.

1. Come to a show. Our tickets are usually priced $10-$15 depending on the show.
