This Giving Tuesday, we’re leaning into a simple truth echoing across the New River Valley: When we build together, we build stronger.

Across our region, more than 5,500 income-restricted homes are still needed. Thousands of families, including teachers, healthcare workers, young adults, and seniors, are spending far more than they can afford just to keep a roof over their heads. But this year, something powerful happened: our community stepped up, joined together, and started closing that gap.

At Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley, “Stronger Together” isn’t just a slogan; it’s the story behind 25 homes completed or underway since 2021, hundreds of vital repairs for our neighbors, and partnerships with schools, local employers, civic groups, and volunteers who show up, rain or shine, to help make the NRV a place where everyone can thrive.
